Can We Do Self Hypnosis for Relaxation And Also Meditation?

I,m doing self hypnosis since few months, and recently im practicing meditation also.
Can they both work well for me.
Whats ur view.

  1. Yes, but you really need a qualified teacher. Many books will tell you there is no need for a teacher but it is imperative that you do.

  2. Yes. I have practiced both and are my #1 recommendation for relaxation. There are some great books out there to help give you all of the information necessary to make sure you are doing it properly and what to stay away from. I took self-hypnosis so far as to use it during childbirth and it worked wonderfully! Kudos to you for taking the time and effort to find a way to relax in a natural, safe, and drug-free manner!!

    My view is that hypnosis is the opposite of meditation and weakens the mind.

  4. With self hypnosis you usually have a goal to obtain and you can use the trigger words to help you. This can include relaxation.

    With meditation there is no real goal to achieve except relaxation. Which is great.

    Use both and you will be better off.

    And please don’t listen to the person that says you need someone qualified, that is just B.S. if you are just doing it for relaxation. They just want your money.
